Are you prepared?
Last evening the young men in our ward put on an emergency preparedness BBQ. They had several tables of various mini classes and information on how to be prepared in an emergency situation. I was asked to do a table on Child Safety. In doing a little research for this I came across these disturbing statistics:
In excess of 800,000 children are reported missing every year in our country.
500,000 children go missing WITHOUT even being reported.
I designed a Child ID Kit for you to print out and have just in case the unthinkable happens to your family.
You can print out your Child ID Kit for free here:

Surprise for Mommy....
After 66 years what can you do for your mother that you haven't already? Glad you asked!....My sister flew in from N. C. where she moved to a year ago. It was an almost impossible feat to keep this a secret from my mom but we did it!! Here is a clip of my Mommy's Birthday Surprise!

Sock it to me.....
True Story...the names have not been changed because she is NOT innocent!
The other day Scott came home from a very brief Church meeting...I was laying on the bed resting and watched with pride as he removed his church cloths and hung them neatly in the closet...took off his socks and tossed them in the huge dirty sock pile...oh wait..rewind. Took off his socks... obviously thinking he had no idea when or if he would be getting clean socks ...and this being his last pair... folded them neatly back into his drawer without shootin' me a "don't ya think its time to launder this mountain of socks" look.
It hit me then how my shortcomings totally affect those around me. I cringe to think how many time my dear husband has had to do this.
Soooo even though I would much rather just go to the store and purchase new socks as opposed to washing them I will try to do better!
