Surprise for Mommy....

Last Friday was my Mom's birthday!
After 66 years what can you do for your mother that you haven't already? Glad you asked!....My sister flew in from N. C. where she moved to a year ago. It was an almost impossible feat to keep this a secret from my mom but we did it!! Here is a clip of my Mommy's Birthday Surprise!

Down to 2....

Well, we are down to 2 VonSchnauzer Minis.
All the girls have found wonderful new homes!
We have our 2 little boys left.
This Handsome Boy is X-Man

And this cutie is our runt. His name is Buster Brown.

It is getting harder and harder to part with these little ones! Connor actually cried yesterday when Maggie-Mae found her new home.

Puppy Mania....

We put an add in the paper and in 2 days 2 of our little cuties were gone. It's hard to part with these little guys after bringing them into the world and caring for them! And it doesn't hurt that they are drop dead charming and ohhh so adorable!!
If ya been thinkin' 'bout adding a fur baby to your family mini schnauzers are AWESOME!!!

Little Sisters in Zion....

This evening my family was blessed with a yummy dinner prepared by 3 of my Activity Days girls.

They came to my home and cooked in my kitchen and did it with the expertise of professional chefs!

I am SO very proud of and thankful for my "Little Sisters" in Zion.

Sock it to me.....

Ok...confession time.
True Story...the names have not been changed because she is NOT innocent!

The other day Scott came home from a very brief Church meeting...I was laying on the bed resting and watched with pride as he removed his church cloths and hung them neatly in the closet...took off his socks and tossed them in the huge dirty sock pile...oh wait..rewind. Took off his socks... obviously thinking
he had no idea when or if he would be getting clean socks ...and this being his last pair... folded them neatly back into his drawer without shootin' me a "don't ya think its time to launder this mountain of socks" look.

It hit me then how my shortcomings totally affect those around me. I cringe to think how many time my dear husband has had to do this.
Soooo even though I would much rather just go to the store and purchase new socks as opposed to washing them I will try to do better!

How fabulous it is to have a dear friend that just happens to be a photographer!

More new arrivals....

I've received a few calls asking why I haven't blogged about the puppies yet...so in between my 100th & 101st load of "puppy towel" laundry I am posting some pictures and comments on the birth.

Heidi started acting rather different on Saturday (the 29th). Scott saw her when he got out of bed but then she sort of disappeared. He came in and woke me up telling me she was missing! I had heard stories about how a dog will "nest" when nearing her time...but all the stories I had heard said a dark closet was the most popular place to find your "nesting" dog. Well I searched the house while Scott searched outside..he called for me and said he heard a growling from UNDER THE SHED!!! Yep, there she was nesting under the shed. Calling her was doing no good so Scott cut up some ham to coax her out....now our Heidi will do ANYTHING for ham!!!!!!! But she was NOT budging! She was STUCK!!! as in she COULD NOT get out! Scott and I were at a LOSS as for what to do....if Heidi had her puppies under the shed we would surely lose them and possibly her as well! This was NOT an option!! Scott retrieved our trusty jack from the garage and we actually jacked up our shed just enough to get her out!
The first puppy was born at 10:53 pm Saturday night. #2, 3 & 4 followed behind at 11:46, 12:05 & 12:18. #5 was still born at 3:23 and little #6 followed her at 3:27.
We have 5 healthy, beautiful puppies!
3 girls and 2 boys.
